The West Walker River is located North of Bridgeport, originating above Leavitt Meadows and running East along Hwy 108, then North along Hwy 395 to Topaz Lake. The West comes from spring water as well as snow run-off, for most of the season it is very fishable, however, during the Spring run-off it can be too high and dirty to fish effectively. Once the snow melt is over, the West has some great fishing opportunities for both fly and spin anglers.
